Now easily regarded as one of the biggest bands of the 90’s, and probably beyond, Oasis have always had a habit of knocking it out of the park when it comes to a live performance. Take yourself back to August 1994 and see the Gallagher’s and co smash out a brilliant version of ‘Live Forever’ at the second edition of Lowlands Festival.
The festival is now one of the stand-out dates on the festival circuit but in 1994 Lowlands Festival in the Netherlands it was a relative newbie. However, in only the second edition the festival managed to pull in one of the biggest bands on the planet – Oasis.
This footage sees a unique view of the band. We may be used to seeing Liam Gallagher strut across the stage with his usual swagger or Noel riffing harder than ever. But this video is filmed from backstage and instead, we get a view of what Oasis themselves would’ve seen when performing.
With that said, we do still get a taste of the fervour surrounding the band at this time. In 1994 there were no better around and this performance of their seminal hit ‘Live Forever’ is a testament to that. Watch it below.
We’ve given you a larger video of the performance as well, in case you fancied it.
