The trailer for the remastered version of The Beatles Anthology series has been released, prior to it heading on to Disney+.
The news of the project was revealed back in August, when it was announced that, along with the restoration of the original series, the streaming service would also release an additional episode, titled ‘Nine’, of previously unseen footage.
According to a press release at the time, the new episode features “unseen behind-the-scenes footage of Paul, George and Ringo coming together between 1994 and 1995 to work on The Anthology and reflecting on their shared life as The Beatles.”
This is reflected in the freshly-produced trailer for the series, which combines classic footage from the original 1995 documentary, as well as clips of the coveted new episode.
The reinvigoration of the Anthology project is set to be paired with a remastering of the previous three album editions, as well as a fresh instalment in the form of Anthology 4, set to be released on November 21st.
Along with restorations of classic tracks, Anthology 4 will also contain 13 previously unreleased demos, session recordings and other rare recordings alongside new mixes of ‘Free As A Bird’ and ‘Real Love’, the former of which is already available to listen to.
In celebrating the Anthology, the band released a special 25th anniversary The Beatles Anthology last month, giving an exclusive glimpse into The Beatles at their height, told by the members themselves as well as those closest to them.
Elsewhere, on top of Anthology 4, Paul McCartney is set to release his first new song in five years, after it was announced that he is creating a silent track alongside other silent artists to protest the use of AI in the music industry.
The Beatles Anthology series will be released on Disney+ on November 26th, 2025.
