Watch the trailer for new Ozzy Osbourne documentary ‘Coming Home’

The official trailer for the “intimate” Ozzy Osbourne documentary Coming Home, which will air on October 2nd, has finally been released.

The documentary promises to be “a tribute to love, legacy, and family”, allowing fans to peer in on “the lives of Sharon and Ozzy Osbourne as they plan their dream of moving back to the UK”. It will also depict the final years of Osbourne’s life, as he attempts to better his health enough to perform at the Back to the Beginning Black Sabbath farewell show.

The project will air on BBC One and will also be available for viewing on iPlayer.

The trailer opens with a clip of Ozzy and his wife, Sharon, in a car together, with Sharon behind the wheel. “Sharon, stop! Stop it! Don’t drive!” Ozzy yells at her in furious speed.

In an interview segment, the iconic metal singer then shared that he was “So looking forward to an English summer!”

“After a long time abroad, it’s time to come home,” the text on the screen reads. His daughter, Kelly, weighs in on his stardom, while Sharon adds, “I always, always told Ozzy: When you’re 70, we say goodbye.” She is referring to his days at Black Sabbath, but the tragic echo is palpable.

There’s also humour laced throughout the trailer. “We’re quite normal. We’re quite boring when it comes down to it,” Sharon confesses, while later Ozzy disagrees, stating, “I wouldn’t say we are fucking normal.” It cuts to a shot of him ordering one of their dogs to “kill, kill!” and a story about a marijuana cake.

Ozzy looks forward to his future after Black Sabbath’s retirement, sharing that he is most excited to “do nothing,” while shots of the happy couple, the romantic notes Ozzy leaves around for Sharon, finish the clip with a depiction of them kissing happily.

Osboure died 17 days after the reunion show in Birmingham, after suffering from a heart attack. As such, the documentary was initially set to air in August, but was pulled last minute due to “the family’s wishes to wait a bit longer”.
