The late Harry Dean Stanton, who passed aged 91 earlier in September this year, will star in the new film Lucky in what proved to be one of his final performances.
Stanton, who plays the role of the protagonist ‘Lucky’ in the drama, grapples with life as a 90-year-old atheist in his rural desert town community with the ever-present thoughts of existential truths.
The film, which also features David Lynch, Roy Livingston, and Beth Grant, is the directorial debut for John Carroll Lynch, the man who played the role of Norm Gunderson in Fargo.
The film, which will be premiered in the UK at the London Film Festival on October 9th, features a heartbreaking but dazzling singing performance by Stanton.
