After becoming the most successful Broadway film adaptation of all time, Wicked will soon be returning to the big screen for its final conclusion, and now, the trailer for Wicked: For Good has been released.
Directed by Jon M Chu and starring Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande, the final chapter of the story will follow Elphaba and Glinda as they grapple with their choices and the future of Oz, continuing the untold story of the relationship between the two witches.
Elphaba, who has now been ostracised as the Wicked Witch of the West, lives in the Ozian forest and continues her fight to protect the animals and expose the Wizard for who he truly is.
However, Glinda has become the symbol of goodness in Oz, living at the palace in Emerald City and enjoying the upsides of fame and notoriety. Under the command of Madame Morrible, Glinda is used to convince the people of Oz that all is right with the world and praise the work of the Wizard. However, both witches end up crossing paths again, forced to confront what is truly right and choose what is right for Oz.
Wicked: For Good also stars familiar faces from the first film, with the likes of Bowen Yang, Bronwyn James, Pfannee, ShenShen and Sharon D. Clarke returning for the final instalment to the story.
