Annie Clark has shared a video on Instagram of her covering Sleater-Kinney’s ‘Modern Girl’ from their 2005 album The Woods. She said in the caption: “Pre-show Sleater-Kinney warm up. Such a great song!”.
This isn’t the first time we’ve seen a collaboration between these two Far Out favourites in September for a New Yorker profile of St. Vincent in the form of short films released via St. Vincent’s Instagram.
Where St. Vincent. is posed some very tiresome questions and answers with perfect comic timing and utterly deadpan delivery – something she has become a touch famous for.
Take this one for example.
St Vincent recently appeared on NPR’s ‘Tiny Desk Concert’ to play three tracks from ‘MASSEDUCTION’. The solo acoustic set offered three tracks from the critically acclaimed album, ‘New York,’ ‘Los Ageless,’ and ‘Slow Dance’ – all of which naturally banged. It was not only a moment to enjoy for the music but also Clark’s wonderfully eccentric personality as she jokes and works the crowd. Check it out here.
