Watch Sam Fender cover Oasis on his first night in Manchester plus tour announcement

The latest indie darling for the nation of British music critics, Sam Fender, took to the Manchester stage and in a bold move covered the anthemic Oasis hit ‘(What’s the story) Morning Glory’. He’s also announced his latest huge tour.

Fender took to the stage in the north and grabbed the opportunity to sing one of his favourite tracks from sons of Manchester Oasis. The band, led by Noel and Liam Gallagher, are still considered as one of the best bands from the city and so it may have been a bold move to cover one of their most famous hits.

Yet Fender did his best to honour the original and provide a crowd-rousing performance for those who attended the O2 Ritz Manchester gig. It may be something that he brings out on his upcoming tour which will stretch across the UK.
