Watch Chappell Roan cover Heart’s ‘Barracuda’ with Nancy Wilson

Chappell Roan brought out Nancy Wilson from Heart to perform a cover of the 1970s rock band’s classic hit, ‘Barracuda’, during her most recent concert.

The pop singer had brought her Visions of Damsels and Other Dangerous Things tour to the Forest Hills Stadium in Queens, New York, on September 21st, when she was joined by Wilson on stage while playing her electric guitar.

Roan invited Wilson to perform after singing ‘Hot To Go!’ during the gig, delighting fans with the original guitarist after she had previously covered ‘Barracuda’ at various other points in the tour, including at her headline slot at Reading and Leeds Festival in the UK in August.

Social media footage from the New York performance shows Wilson arriving on stage with a distinctive purple electric guitar, before proceeding to tear up the song alongside Roan and the rest of her band.

Despite her triumphant tour, Roan recently admitted to having had “a very unsettling year and a half” due to her hectic schedule as well as other world events which she has been affected by, such as the wildfires which devastated Los Angeles in early 2025.

She revealed that, as yet, she has no plans to make a second album following the successful release of her debut, The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess, in 2023. Speaking as part of an interview with Variety back in August, the singer said: “It took me five years to write the first one, and it’s probably going to take at least five to write the next. I’m not the type of writer that can pump it out.”

For her own part, Wilson is clearly reclaiming ownership of ‘Barracuda’, after the song was used by US President Donald Trump in a military parade earlier this year, which the guitarist hit back at by saying it was “never intended for political use.”
