We’ve been treated to another clip from the brilliant new stop-animation film ‘Isle of Dogs’, due for release next month from the brilliant mind of Wes Anderson.
The clip features a huge dog fight over a bag of scraps and hints at another hit for Anderson who always manages to mix storylines with emotive characterisation so effortlessly.
Featuring many of the familiar actors we’ve become accustomed to when watching an Anderson film, the animated story is one of turmoil and political deceit… oh, and dogs. A lot of dogs.
The follow-up to 2014’s Moonrise Kingdom sees a young boy search for his dog Rex. Set in Japan the story is one of expected heartwarming joy with a dapple of saddening realism – as is often Anderson’s way
‘Isle of Dogs’, much like his hugely successful ‘Fantastic Mr. Fox’, will add a whole host of Anderson favourites to voice the whimsical characters. Stars include Bill Murray, Jeff Goldblum, Scarlett Johannson, Tilda Swinton, Bryan Cranston, and more.
There will even be a sneaky voiceover appearance for one Yoko Ono, as Anderson looks to follow up his last feature length film The Grand Budapest Hotel, with another heart-warmer.
Enjoy the clip below.
