Vin Diesel confirms Cristiano Ronaldo has role in new ‘Fast and Furious’ movie

Vin Diesel has confirmed he has written a role for footballer Cristiano Ronaldo in the new Fast and Furious movie.

Diesel, who stars in the franchise as Dominic Toretto, announced the news of Ronaldo’s involvement in Fast X: Part 2 on Instagram

Alongside an image of the pair together, Vin Diesel wrote, “Everyone asked, would he be in the Fast mythology… I gotta tell you he is a real one. We wrote a role for him…”

The upcoming action movie is set for release in April 2027, with Diesel starring alongside Dwayne Johnson, Jason Statham, Jason Momoa, Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson and Ludacris.

Information regarding Ronaldo’s role in the movie is unknown, but the Portuguese star did announce his intentions to move into the film industry earlier this year when he launched a production company with director Matthew Vaughn.

In April, the pair founded UR MARV. A statement read at the time, “Cristiano Ronaldo loves movies; Matthew Vaughn loves sport – and they both love a good story.”

It continued, “Both have been disruptive champions at their game and will now combine the world of sport and storytelling through the launch of UR MARV, an independent joint venture film studio embracing innovative technology, with a nod to tradition.”

Ronaldo also described UR MARV as “an exciting chapter for me”, as he looks ahead beyond his sporting career, which is expected to end within the next couple of years.

It was also revealed that UR MARV has already financed and produced two action movies, and that work is set to begin shortly on a third in the same film series, yet no further information has been revealed at this stage.
