Two Door Cinema Club announce new ‘Tourist History’ UK and Ireland arena tour
Two Door Cinema Club have announced that they are set to head out on their first UK and Ireland arena tour in seven years.
The band have been on a recent trajectory of celebrating their past successes, storming the festival circuit with a set list full of their greatest hits.
During these appearances, such as at TRNSMT in Glasgow on June 21st, they hinted towards a larger return at the start of 2027, sparking speculation on the next chapter for the band.
Subsequently, this has been confirmed as a UK and Ireland arena tour kicking off next January, which will see Two Door Cinema Club travel to five different cities across the countries.
Upon the announcement of the news on June 29th, the band said: “It’s been over seven years since we’ve done a UK and Ireland tour. Each and every one of these cities holds a special place in our hearts, we’ve played almost every venue there is to play in each of them, now it’s time for the big ones. We can’t wait.”
The shows are billed as a celebration of Two Door Cinema Club’s 2010 debut album Tourist History, which celebrated its 15th anniversary last year, where they will play that record in full, as well as a selection of their greatest hits.
It will be a whistlestop tour across the UK and Ireland, with things getting underway in Dublin on January 23rd, before the band visit Belfast, Glasgow, and Manchester, and finish up in London on January 28th.
For the shows, they are set to be joined by a strong line-up of supporting acts, with The Royston Club taking to the stage in Dublin and Belfast, and Circa Waves and Arkayla kicking off proceedings in Glasgow, Manchester, and London.
Although Two Door Cinema Club have not released any new full bodies of music since their 2022 album Keep on Smiling, they seem to be taking a step up in their heights, with a massive Stateside show at New York’s Madison Square Garden also planned for September 27th.
Tickets for the band’s UK and Ireland arena shows will go on sale from July 3rd at 9am local time, with presale beginning from July 1st at 9am local time.
