Twisted Sister confirm replacement for Dee Snider on saved 2026 tour

Twisted Sister have managed to save their 2026 reunion tour after previously cancelling it due to Dee Snider’s health, having found a new frontman to save the day.

The band took to social media on March 3rd to confirm that former Skid Row frontman Sebastian Bach will be taking over Snider’s duties for the upcoming tour, which celebrates their 50th anniversary and first reunion in ten years, after retiring in 2016.

In a post on Instagram, the band said: “Twisted Sister members Jay Jay French and Eddie Ojeda are thrilled to announce that iconic vocalist and front man Sebastian Bach will be fronting the band for a handful of select dates this fall.”

Bach is currently in the midst of his own solo tour of the United States, and as such Twisted Sister continued: “These appearances do not affect or conflict with Sebastian’s current or future solo touring schedule, which remains fully intact.”

The band subsequently urged fans to tune into Eddie Trunk’s show on Sirius XM later in the day on March 3rd (Eastern Standard Time) to find out more information, as it is not currently known if the tour will take a more scaled down approach compared to what was originally planned, due to Snider’s absence.

At the start of February, Twisted Sister were forced to announce that they would have to cancel their planned shows, set to begin in April in Sao Paulo, as they revealed that their frontman had been suffering from degenerative arthritis for a number of years.

Snider justified his decision to cancel the tour by saying at the time: “I don’t know of any other way to rock. The idea of slowing down is unacceptable to me. I’d rather walk away than be a shadow of my former self.”

The announcement of Bach as the replacement frontman fulfills the band’s promise from that announcement that “The future of Twisted Sister will be determined in the next several weeks.”

However, it also comes off the back of Snider having to put speculation to bed about the state of his health being worse than publicly stated, as he confirmed during a radio appearance: “The rumours have run wild that I am on my death bed. I am not.”
