TRNSMT 2026: Richard Ashcroft, Kasabian and Lewis Capaldi to headline
Glasgow’s TRNSMT Festival has today announced its first wave of artists for the 2026 edition of the annual festival, including headliners in the form of Richard Ashcroft, Kasabian, and local hero Lewis Capaldi.
Seemingly, the festival will feature some familiar faces, with Capaldi having previously headlined the festival in 2022, and Kasabian having headlined the very first TRNSMT back in 2017. Meanwhile, former Verve frontman Richard Ashcroft will be coming off the back of a successful support slot for fellow Britpop heroes Oasis on their reunion tour.
Alongside the headliners, the festival also announced a multitude of other acts, including the likes of Wolf Alice, Nile Rodgers, Luvcat, Loyle Carner, The Last Dinner Party, English Teacher, CMAT, and Westside Cowboy, among various others.
TRNSMT is also set to showcase a wealth of local Scottish talent, with the likes of Dylan John Thomas, The Fratellis, Amy MacDonald, The Snuts and recently resurrected Fife indie heroes The Beta Band filling out key spots on the line-up.
Notably, the festival appears to have reverted to having three main headliners, one per day, as opposed to last year, when they featured six different artists as headliners. Included among those 2025 headliners was Gracie Abrams, the festival’s first and, as this new announcement seemingly confirms, only female headliner in its history.
Having originally been introduced to fill the shoes of the hugely successful T in the Park in nearby Lanarkshire, TRNSMT has been held annually on Glasgow Green since 2017, excluding two years which were disrupted by the Covid-19 pandemic.
TRNSMT 2026 is set to take place from June 19th to 21st, and tickets are due to go on sale November 14th.
