Travis Scott appears in teaser for Christopher Nolan’s ‘The Odyssey’

Rapper Travis Scott has been revealed as a new cast member in Christopher Nolan upcoming cinematic The Odyssey, appearing in a fresh teaser for the film.

The casting was unveiled during a new TV trailer for the movie, shown during a break in the NFL AFC Championship on January 25th in the US.

It showed Scott, playing an as-yet unspecified role in the film, sitting at the head of the table and summoning a group of soldiers to their latest orders, with Matt Damon’s leading Odysseus and Tom Holland’s character of Telemachus among their ranks.

The star’s unexpected appearance in the teaser subsequently went viral on social media, although many of these clips have now been removed from platforms, owing to copyright restrictions.

No further details have been revealed regarding Scott’s casting and role in The Odyssey so far, but he comes as the latest in a long line of major Hollywood stars to sign their names on to the film, which is set for release this summer.

Alongside Damon and Holland leading the cast, it will also feature a stellar supporting line-up not limited to Robert Pattinson, Jon Bernthal, Anne Hathaway, Zendaya, Lupita Nyong’o, and Mia Goth.

However, the upcoming summer blockbuster will not mark the first partnership between Scott and Nolan, as the rapper previously recorded the song ‘The Plan’ for the soundtrack of the director’s film Tenet in 2020.

Elsewhere, after the first trailer for the epic film was released last month, which saw Damon’s character leading his men back home after a treacherous battle and imploring them not to break their resolve, the actor revealed the extreme lengths he went to in order to give a convincing performance.

While promoting his latest film The Rip alongside Ben Affleck on the New Heights Podcast, he admitted to losing a lot of weight during the shooting process, saying, “I haven’t been that light since high school. So it was a lot of training and a really strict diet.”

The Odyssey is set for release in cinemas on July 17th, 2026.
