Tool release 'Fear Inoculum', their first new song in 13 years

Tool have marked their return with ‘Fear Inoculum’, the first new material from the band in 13 years.

The song arrives as the title track of Fear Inoculum, Tool’s impending new album and the long-awaited follow-up to 2006 effort 10,000 Days. Due out on August 30, the record arrives after the band announced the decision to add their entire back catalogue to streaming services.

When discussing the new material, lead singer Maynard James Keenan said: “I feel like this is [about] wisdom through age, through experience,” while talking to Revolver. “Learning from your mistakes, learning from your successes. So if anything is a broad stroke of this album, it would be embracing where we are right now, acknowledging where we’ve come from and some of the things we’ve grown through,” he added.
