
Tommy Lee Jones and family release statement after death of daughter Victoria
The family of Victoria Jones, the 34-year-old actor and daughter of Tommy Lee Jones, has released a short statement following her death on January 1st.
On the second day of 2026, it was announced that Jones was found in the early hours of New Year’s Day at the Fairmont San Francisco, according to TMZ, which cited law enforcement sources.
A spokesperson for the San Francisco Fire Department then confirmed that Jones was discovered at the Fairmont at 2:52am on January 1st. They said: “Our units responded to the scene, performed an assessment and declared one person deceased.”
The family has since issued a short statement to Rolling Stone, which reads, “We appreciate all of the kind words, thoughts, and prayers.” The statement continues, “Please respect our privacy during this difficult time.”
The cause of death remains unknown, but no foul play is currently suspected. It was reported that she was declared dead at the scene.
Jones is the second child of Tommy-Lee and his first wife, Kimberlea Cloughley. They also share a son, Austin Jones, who is 43.
Jones was a child star; she appeared in Men in Black II in 2002 and had a small role in the movie her father directed, The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada. She also appeared in the teen-drama TV series, One Tree Hill.
In 2005, her father praised her career, sharing, “She’s a good actress, has her SAG [Screen Actors Guild] card, speaks impeccable Spanish. When she was a baby, I told Leticia, her nurse, to speak to her in Spanish.”
In 2017, the pair appeared at the ArcLight Hollywood for the premiere of his movie Just Getting Started. Her father is known for his roles in The Fugitive, No Country For Old Men, Captain America: The First Avenger, Jason Bourne, among other Hollywood blockbusters.
