Thurston Moore has announced a one-off intimate show to take place in London.
The gig will see Moore debut new material on February 1st at London venue ‘Under The Bridge’ in Fulham, close to Stamford Bridge.
Playing under the name ‘Thurston Moore Ensemble’, The band will feature Deb Googe of My Bloody Valentine on Baritone Bass, James Sedwards on 12-string electric guitar, Jen Chochinov on 12-string electric guitar, Alex Ward on 12-string electric guitar and Jem Doulton on percussion.
“After an epic symphony premiere featuring twelve 12-string acoustic and twelve 12-string electric guitars at London’s Barbican Centre last year, Sonic Youth founder Thurston Moore brings together an intimate ensemble to debut new material as well as perform favourite tunes from his critically acclaimed last album Rock n Roll Consciousness for this special concert,” a press release reads.
Tickets are on sale now and the show will also feature support from support San Francisco band Wobbly as well Big Joanie (aka Jon Leidecker of Negativland).
