Thom Yorke hints at a new collaboration with Mark Pritchard, ‘Back In The Game’
Radiohead’s Thom Yorke has hinted at a new collaboration with Mark Pritchard titled ‘Back In The Game’, which has left fans incredibly excited.
Yorke, 56, of British rock band Radiohead, is a revered musician known for fronting and penning the Oxford group’s most acclaimed singles, including ‘Creep’, ‘No Surprises’ and ‘Paranoid Android’. Since the establishment of an ongoing hiatus of the group in 2004, Yorke has embarked on a rich solo career that involved a celebrated collaboration with English electronic producer Mark Pritchard.
The collaboration — on 2016’s track ‘Beautiful People’ from Prichard’s electronic, atmospheric and impressionistic Under the Sun — was noted in FarOut’s list of five greatest Thom Yorke collaborations.
Their latest collaboration, titled ‘Back In The Game’, was first performed in New Zealand in October 2024, followed by a performance at the Sydney Opera House in Australia in November 2024. Footage from the Australia iteration can be seen at the footer of this article.
Yorke took to Instagram on February 7th, 2025, to tease the track. Although it’s believed that a full-length collaborative record between the pair is in the works, in the meantime, posts from both artists on their respective Instagram accounts included the message: “BACK IN THE GAME. 13.02.25. The pair’s latest track, ‘Back In The Game’, is expected to drop on February 13th, 2025. But the most exciting prospect is the idea that it might spark some life into the Radiohead creative and push him back towards the band.
