The War on Drugs unleash new song ‘Strangest Thing’

The War on Drugs, who will release their highly anticipated fourth album, A Deeper Understanding in a month’s time, share released their latest teaser ‘Strangest Thing’.

The Philadelphia-bred rock outfit have already shared new tracks ‘Holding On’ and ‘Thinking of a Place’ as they induce is into a heavy, delicious guitar tone coma with their dreamy new material.

Shawn Everett, the engineer who is famed for his work with the likes of Julian Casablancas and Weezer, has been chosen as the man to mix the new The War on Drugs project.

“I kept thinking about an LA record and what that means,” frontman Adam Granduciel previously told said in an interview with Pitchfork. “To me, it means the second Warren Zevon record, but it could also mean Tonight’s The Night. Then I threw my hands in the air and just wanted to make a record with my friends, wherever that may be.”

The new song premiered yesterday (July 18) on Zane Lowe’s World Record Beats1 radio show. Anyway, forget that… The War On Drugs are Far Out’s Track of the Day. Check it:
