The Turning – You Think You’re Better

This week our Unsigned Sunday slot goes to a four-piece based in London who look destined to be bothering the charts by the time the year is out.

The Turning have been doing just that to numerous heads throughout the music industry, with a brand of playful garage- rock that was made for a Saturday night indie disco.

They’ve already conquered venues as celebrated as the Leadmill in Sheffield and Camden’s Barfly, but the four-piece were really catapulted into the conciousness of the masses when they landed a support slot with Irish wonder kids The Strypes.

There’s a feel that this is a band that is very much still enjoying the journey of its development, but if the early signs are anything to go by, five years down the line The Turning could well be a name on everybody’s lips.

‘You Think You’re Better’ is a sugary piece of blues-rock that repackages the 60s in a sleek format perfect for the nostalgia hounds of the current day. What’s more, they dress pretty snappy too!

Listen to the track below and head to The Turning’s Soundcloud for more.
