The Snuts announce debut album 'W.L'

The Snuts have announced details of their highly anticipated debut album W.L., which will be available on March 19th through Parlophone Records.

2020 was meant to see the West Lothian band head out on their sold-out tour but, like so many people working within the creative industry, the global pandemic came along to put a stop to their globe-trotting plans. These plans have now been carried over into 2021 and look set to be even brighter and bigger than the past 12 months was supposed to be. The Snuts have announced even more tour dates which will see the band travel here, there and everywhere before they finish the run at Glasgow’s famous Barrowlands.

The tour, which begins in Cardiff in May and will run through the UK and Ireland, will include stops at Manchester’s Ritz, Edinburgh’s Corn Exchange and London’s Kentish Town Forum.

The opportunity to headline The Barrowlands is a bucket-list moment for the band and has filled frontman Jack Cochrane with immense pride. “We promised ourselves that playing the world-famous Barrowlands and releasing our debut record would be eternally intertwined,” he said in a press statement. “This occasion is a celebration of that fact for us as a band and the fans who have supported us unconditionally.”

The LP was recorded at The Firepit in London with producer Tony Hoffer, a figure who has previously worked with indie-pop royalty such as Beck, Goldfrapp and M83. The twelve-track W.L. is crammed with fan favourites which the band have been releasing over the last few years as they build towards finally releasing a debut album.

“Our debut album W.L. is our lifetime work,” frontman Jack Cochrane stated. “It’s a collection of milestones and melodies that time stamp a dream we had becoming a reality. It’s a record about being true, loving and resilient.”
