The Rolling Stones still have no touring plans despite incoming new album
The Rolling Stones still don’t have any plans to tour despite having a new album on the way.
The legendary British rock band began teasing that something was coming last week when posters appeared across London for The Cockroaches, a moniker that The Stones previously used for low-profile shows in 1977.
The posters featured a QR code that directs to a website, which simply reads, ‘Who the fuck are The Cockroaches’ in the same font as the famous ‘Who the fuck is Mick Jagger’ T-shirt and slogan.
It also includes a clock displaying around 13:40pm on April 11th, 2026, which is presumably when their comeback single will arrive, and the mystery will be solved.
According to a new report from The Times, The Stones are on the verge of sharing their new single, titled ‘Rough and Twisted’, which is the first taste of their next album that is reportedly set to arrive in July.
However, despite having another album on the way in the coming months, there are no plans to take it on the road.
A spokesperson for the band told The Times, “The Rolling Stones will play when they decide to, not before. There are no concerts planned.”
This comes after they previously reportedly cancelled plans for a 2026 tour amid Keith Richards’ arthritis, which has impacted his ability to perform live.
It was reported by The Sun that a source said Richards “didn’t think he could commit and wasn’t keen on a big stadium tour for over four months.”
Additionally, in 2025, it was slated that The Rolling Stones were due to hit the road across Europe, including dates at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London, which didn’t materialise.
However, while touring appears to be out of the equation, The Rolling Stones are going nowhere yet with the new album slated to arrive this summer.
Last summer, Andrew Watt, who produced 2023’s Hackney Diamonds and Paul McCartney’s new album, confirmed his involvement in the next Stones LP, cryptically telling Rolling Stone, “When the tongue is up in the air, you just go… I can say we did some recording together, but that’s all I can say.”
The countdown to April 11th continues…
