The National have announced a string of UK arena tour dates to take place in December.

The band, who continue to ramp up the anticipation of their new album by releasing their latest song, ‘Light Years’, have also announced plans to tour Courtney Barnett and Alvvays.

The new record, I Am Easy to Find, will be out May 17 via their label 4AD and features collaborations from the likes of Gail Ann Dorsey, Sharon Van Etten, Lisa Hannigan, Mina Tindle and more. “Yes, there’s a lot of women singing on this, but it wasn’t because, ‘Oh, let’s have more women’s voices,’” the National’s Matt Berninger said in a statement. “It was more, ‘Let’s have more of a fabric of people’s identities.’ It would have been better to have had other male singers, but my ego wouldn’t let that happen.”

When bringing the album to the UK, The National will play four major arena shows in Brighton, Leeds, Cardiff and Nottingham. Tickets will be on sale May 17th and full details are below:
