Are you separated from a loved one during the lockdown and want to show your affection for that special person? Well, don’t worry because The Magic Gang are on hand to help.
The group, who are set to release their sophomore record, Death Of The Party, on August 21st through Yala! Records, are putting their time in self-isolation to good use by writing love songs on behalf of fans who want to show their appreciation for somebody special in their life.
The Magic Gang sent a call out to fans that they were ready to help when they shared this message on social media: “The idea to write love songs on behalf of the fans came about when we were chatting about ways in which we could contribute something positive,” they said.
The post continued: “We obviously can’t play shows for people at the moment and we’ve been left with a lot of free time so we thought that writing love songs on behalf of others would help bring people together – particularly those who are separated from their loved ones because of the lockdown. It’s not much, but if it puts a smile on anyone’s face or distracts them from the current state of affairs then that’ll make it worth it.”
They have recieved over 1,000 requests from fans who are missing someone dearly right now and have already shared three songs they have penned. Listen below to ‘To Samantha, From Connor’, ‘To Maisie, From Ben’ and ‘To Hannah, From Michelle’.
