The Maccabees announce UK and Ireland tour ahead of All Points East
The Maccabees have unveiled details of their first UK and Ireland tour in a decade ahead of their headline date at All Points East in August.
Before they play the biggest headline show of their career at Victoria Park for All Points East on August 24th, The Maccabees will perform at the Academy in Dublin on August 17th, the Barrowlands in Glasgow on August 20th and Manchester’s Victoria Warehouse on August 21st.
In a statement, Felix White said of the upcoming tour: “None of us thought we’d ever play shows again anywhere. Hopefully the whole tour will have a real sense of something precious about it.”
As it stands, The Maccabees live return is set to take place at the end of June. They will perform a series of dates in Europe, bringing their reunion to Berlin, Cologne, Brussels, Amsterdam and Paris before Glastonbury Festival.
At All Points East, The Maccabees will be joined by a stellar cast of acts, including Bombay Bicycle Club, Dry Cleaning, and The Cribs. Their upcoming set of shows will mark their first performances since 2017.
Upon announcing their reunion in October, Hugo White said: “This is an opportunity to realise that whatever we had in that moment was pretty special and get to enjoy it again. It’s a chance to appreciate everything, and especially how it impacts other people and created a community.”
Tickets for The Maccabess’ UK tour are set to go on sale on April 11th at 9am.
