The Lemon Twigs have shared a new live record, stream ‘LIVE’ here

The Lemon Twigs had planned on being on tour for much of 2002 but since the lockdown’s enforcement, their fans won’t be able to catch the band live anytime soon.

Luckily, the group have combatted that by releasing a new live album. Simply titled LIVE the record is a raw, rough and ready cut available exclusively via Bandcamp.

The live LP features recordings from the band’s 2018-2019 tour supporting their concept album Go to School. It includes clips from their shows in Rhode Island, Massachusetts and Los Angeles.

As an added bonus, all the proceeds from the sale fo the album will go towards helping New York City-based charity group Coalition for the Homeless and, in particular, their COVID-19 response.

As we await the band’s new album Songs for the General Public which was originally set to drop on May 1st but will now land on August 21st via 4AD, it’s good to have this spiralling taste of the band’s special brand of psychedelic classic rock.

You can stream LIVE below and we suggest, if you want to hear a story about Father John Misty, to pay special attention to the introduction of ‘Hi+Lo’.
