The Far Out Pub Quiz #2: A mix of music and film news and trivia
The weekend has rolled around once again, which means only one thing: it’s time for another edition of The Far Out Pub Quiz.
This week has been another hectic week in the worlds of film and music. Starting off in cinema, the Venice Film Festival has continued to attract Hollywood’s biggest names to Italy, most notably Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, who received a 15-minute standing ovation for his performance in Benny Safdie’s The Smashing Machine.
Meanwhile, in the world of music, festival season may have come to an end, but fear not, because Radiohead are finally back after seven long years away.
Although they may not have any music to share, just the fact that Thom Yorke, Jonny Greenwood, Colin Greenwood, and Philip Selway will be back on a stage together in the not-so-distant future is enough to raise a smile from their loyal legion of fans. Whether they’ll still be smiling after tickets go on sale is another matter, however.
In addition to looking back at the past seven days, The Far Out Pub Quiz will also reflect on this week in history and the big anniversaries that await around the corner, which will test the knowledge that’s been stored away in forgotten parts of your brain.
Overall, The Far Out Pub Quiz consists of 20 questions, and anything above 15 is a score that will get the weekend started on the right foot. Sadly, there’s no cash or prizes up for grabs, but pride is still a worthy consolation.
Have a go, below.
