The Drumsheds is a new 10,000 capacity music venue set to open in north London.
The venue, located in Tottenham, features four joining warehouses with 10 acres of outdoor space that, according to a press release, can host a further 30,000 people.
The opening of The Dumsheds will come in conjunction with the 2019 edition of Field Day festival takes place on June 7.
“The Drumsheds is Broadwick Venues’ most ambitious project to date and a huge boost for the capital; multiple warehouse spaces, the largest of which has 10,000 plus capacity, along with a ten-acre outdoor festival space,” Broadwick Venues Managing Director Bradley Thompson.
“It epitomises both Broadwick Venues’ dedication to quality, innovation and creativity, and Meridian Water’s commitment to be a true 24-hour destination. We’re confident that people will be as blown away by it as we are,” he added.
The project comes as part of a £6 billion regeneration programme of the Meridian Water area. With a new overground station which will connect the area with Liverpool Street and Stratford, The Drumsheds is located a safe distance away from residential areas to ensure a late night license.
Enfield Councillor Nesil Caliskan said of the project: “Meridian Water will be a truly vibrant neighbourhood and new destination to enjoy nightlife, music, theatre, cinema and much more, all year round,” in a press release.
“Bringing the sheds back into use to deliver high quality leisure, arts and cultural facilities and events is part of our drive to bring life and activity into the area and create a new 24-hour London destination.”
