The surviving members of The Doors reunite for charity gig with Nirvana’s Krist Novoselic
The surviving members of The Doors, John Densmore and Robby Krieger, have announced that they will be reuniting for a special charity performance next week with the help of Nirvana’s Krist Novoselic.
The event will take place in Los Angeles and has been billed as Densmore and Krieger’s first full set together in 20 years. The small set will see Novoselic on bass, Densmore on drums and Krieger on guitar with a set of vocalists hopping in and out.
Eurythmics’ Dave Stewart tops the bill bu with Micah Nelson, and Haley Reinheart, also slated to perform it will be a night for The Doors fans to remember. Also on the bill for the Homeward Bound event are Jason Mraz, Fitz and the Tantrums, and Ingrid Michaelson.
The proceeds for the event will benefit People Assisting the Homeless, a charity that aims to help build affordable housing and in the meantime supply support to those struggling with homelessness in L.A. and the whole of California.
