‘The Boys of Dungeon Lane’: Has Paul McCartney’s brother leaked the title of his new album?

Paul McCartney‘s brother, Mike McCartney, has appeared to leak the title of his sibling’s highly-anticipated new album.

Mike took to X on March 24th to share an image of a poster that had been spotted by his son, Josh, in Liverpool, which featured a road sign titled, The Boys of Dungeon Lane, and the L24 postcode, which is where Dungeon Lane is situated in Speke, Liverpool.

He captioned the post, “Josh saw this teaser for r kids new album ‘The Boys of Dungeon Lane’ in Liverpool yestas. It was familiar to him as he had designed the Dungeon Lane (Speke) artwork for his Uncle.”

Paul did spend a portion of his childhood in Speke, which would make the possible album title make sense.

Additionally, a website has been launched for The Boys of Dungeon Lane, which, currently at the time of writing, only features the same graphic that can be seen on the poster that was shared by Mike and no further information.

Intriguingly, the navigation bar at the top of the website also features a blackbird logo, similar to the one which was recently uploaded to McCartney’s bio on Instagram.

Notably, McCartney does have an unreleased song, titled ‘In Liverpool’, which he performed at a hometown show in 2008, according to Setlist FM, that includes the lyric, “Walking with the boys of Dungeon Lane, Aimlessly towards the cast iron shore.”

Last week, McCartney fueled speculation that new music could possibly arrive in the near future when he confirmed two intimate shows at the 1,200-capacity venue, the Fonda Theatre, on March 27th and March 28th.

The pair of concerts will be phone-free events, which, in theory, could allow McCartney to preview new material in a live setting without the risk of footage leaking across on social media.

These shows mark McCartney’s first concerts since the conclusion of his Got Back dates in 2025, which he wrapped up in November with four nights at the United Center in Chicago.

In the coming days, once the shows in Los Angeles have wrapped, it will be seen whether more information emerges in relation to the mysterious billboard and website.

Far Out reached out to a representative for McCartney, who had no comment to add.
