Over a year on from the first trailer for The Batman, producers have finally announced that a new one is on the way. It will undoubtedly get fans’ hearts racing once again as Robert Pattinson becomes the Caped Crusader.
However, rather than immediately offer it up for the delectation of ravenous fans, its grand debut is set for this year’s DC FanDome event on October the 16th for an online event.
The festivities will feature panel footage, updates on the latest news and trailers, new movie reveals, HBO Max link-ups, video game unveils and apparently much more.
Centre stage for a lot of people, however, will be the long-awaited update on Matt Reeves’ take on their favourite cape crusading vigilante of Gotham Town.
The film’s production has been beleaguered from the outset with various setbacks and Covid-19 outbreaks, but this trailer reveal seems to indicate that it will indeed be able to finally hit cinemas for the planned release date of March 4th 2022.
The forthcoming instalment features Robert Pattinson in his debut Bruce Wayne incarnation, along with Zoë Kravitz, Paul Dano as the Riddler and Colin Farrell proving an unusual choice as the Penguin. It’s all set to be one of the more unusual additions to the Batman canon.
