Taylor Swift granted restraining order against alleged stalker who claimed they shared a child

Taylor Swift has successfully been granted a restraining order against alleged stalker Brian Jason Wagner, who claimed they shared a child together.

Wagner, a 45-year-old from Colorado, has been accused of visiting Swift’s home in Los Angeles on several occasions. These alleged trips to her property began in July 2024, and the most recent instance occurred in May.

In a court filing, Swift said: “I am informed that Mr Wagner made various statements about living at my property (not true), being in a relationship with me (not true), believing I am the mother of his son (not true), and needing to see me in person, all of which are untrue and disconnected from reality.”

On one occasion, it’s alleged that Wagner held a glass bottle, which Swift says “could have been used as a weapon” against her. The pop star stated these visits made her “fear for my safety” as well as “the safety of my family”.

For the time being, it has been ruled that Wagner must stay at least 100 yards away ahead of a permanent ruling potentially being put in place on June 30th.

This isn’t the first time that Swift has had issues with alleged stalkers. Mohammed Jafar was sent to a psychiatric facility in 2017 after harassing her management company before entering her apartment building in Tribeca.

Additionally, in 2018, her home was broken into by Roger Alvarado, who used her shower and slept in her bed. He was sentenced to nine months in prison.

Seven other people have been convicted of stalking Swift, including David Crowe, who was charged with harassment and stalking in 2024 by police in New York several days after her property appeared to be the target of a break-in.
