The 1984 song Gene Simmons considers the height of hard rock: “There’s nothing better”
The height of hard rock mastery.

Van Halen was formed by two brothers formed in 1972, their most successful album being the self-titled ‘Van Halen’.
Van Halen, one of the most influential bands in rock history, got their start in California after the brothers relocated there from the Netherlands. The brothers, Eddie and Alex, had originally named the band Genesis before renaming it to Mammoth. When lead vocalist David Lee Roth and bassist Michael Anthony joined the band in 1974, they renamed themselves the iconic ‘Van Halen’.
The band’s biggest commercial success was the song ‘Jump’ from 1984; many have argued that ‘Runnin’ With The Devil’ was a more defining song in their discography.
The height of hard rock mastery.
Taking things in the wrong direction.
Making music a chore.
Face to face with his past.
The right song for the wrong crowd.
Pulling the short straw.
The best kind of teacher.
The more sophomoric side of rock.
Having that natural swagger.
Not the same kind of passion.
