The Smashing Pumpkins have finally reunited with Butch Vig
The 33-year wait is over.

Butch Vig is an American musician, record producer and songwriter whose work has helped define alternative rock and grunge.
Best known as the drummer and co-founder of Garbage, Vig first rose to prominence as a producer through his work at Smart Studios in Madison, Wisconsin. He produced some of the most influential rock albums of the late 20th century, including Nirvana’s Nevermind, the Smashing Pumpkins’ Siamese Dream and Sonic Youth’s Dirty.
In 1993, he co-founded Garbage alongside Duke Erikson, Steve Marker and Shirley Manson, achieving worldwide success with albums such as Garbage, Version 2.0 and Beautiful Garbage. Regarded as one of the most important producers of the alternative rock era, Vig has played a pivotal role in shaping the sound of modern rock music.
