Summary
Henry Hill dreams of becoming a gangster and is taken under the wing of local mobsters Jimmy Conway and Tommy DeVito. As he rises through the ranks of New York's organised crime world, Henry enjoys wealth, power and status, but his increasing involvement in violence, drugs and FBI investigations begins to unravel his life. Tensions within the gang escalate as paranoia and betrayal take hold, ultimately forcing Henry to become an informant and enter the witness protection programme. The film charts both the glamour and brutal consequences of life in the Mafia.
