System of a Down announce UK and Europe stadium tour with Queens of the Stone Age
System of a Down have announced plans for a huge UK and European stadium tour in 2026 with Queens of the Stone Age.
The heavy rock group have recently concluded a limited run of stadium shows in North America, which included visits to iconic venues such as the MetLife Stadium in New Jersey and Soldier Field in Chicago.
Now, they have unveiled plans to hit the road again in 2026. The stadium dates will begin on June 29th at the Strawberry Arena in Stockholm, Sweden, before moving on to the Stade De France in Paris, and the Ippodromo Snai La Maura in Milan.
System of a Down will play two German shows on the tour, first they will visit the Olympiastadion in Berlin on July 8th, and then they will take to the stage at Open Air Park Düsseldorf on July 10th.
The sole UK date on the tour is set to take place at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London on July 12th, ahead of the run of dates wrapping up at the PGE Narodowy on July 18th in Warsaw, Poland.
For all of the shows, System of a Down will be joined by rock titans Queens of the Stone Age, and Acid Bath will also serve as the opening act. According to press materials, another “very special show” will be announced as part of the tour soon.
Registration for pre-sale is now open for fans until September 15th, with pre-sale set to begin on September 16th at 12pm local time. General sale will then take place on September 19th at 12pm local time.
During their recent show at the MetLife on August 27th, System of a Down used the concert to pay tribute to the late Ozzy Osbourne by covering ‘Snowblind’ for the first time since 2002.
Before they played the track, guitarist Daron Malakian told those in attendance, “We did a few Ozzfests. Some of you are old enough that you were there. Some of you weren’t even born yet. I want to thank Ozzy Osbourne. We want to thank Ozzy Osbourne.”
