‘Somewhere Not Real’ is the brand-new single from enigmatic South London band Sunken.
Started by siblings Poppy and Finn Billingham, Sunken was born in two neighbouring bedrooms, driven by a need for a peace treaty to end their arguing, more than a vent of creativity.
Having spent the past two years developing their sound with bandmates Finn Boxer, Jonah Winslet and Clem Appleby, releasing on tastemaker Handsome Dad Records, and playing a string of UK support tours, Sunken are back with new material.
‘Somewhere Not Real’ arrives as Sunken’s first official release since signing to Believe and the opening chapter of their debut EP which is due for release later this year.
At a time when millions of people around the world are forced to stay home amid strict social distancing measures, Sunken’s self-taught bedroom production has come in handy and, on their new song, deliver a captivating glimpse as to what is to come from this band.
