Back to the 1990s: Suede and Manic Street Preachers team up for UK arena tour
Suede and Manic Street Preachers are teaming up for a run of co-headline arena dates around the UK later this year.
The tour will kick off in Glasgow on October 28th, after which it will zoom over to Leeds and Manchester for a performance at the iconic Co-op Live on Halloween.
Following this, the two UK bands will play two nights at Cardiff’s Utilita Arena, followed up by a night at London’s The O2, and shows in Birmingham, Nottingham, and Bournemouth.
Manic Street Preachers released their last full-length album, Critical Thinking, in early 2025, which earned a delighted four stars from Far Out.
The review observed, “Manics can finally sit still without losing sight of the good fight, taking their history and blending it with a sense of resolve for the future. You’ve heard it before, but you may not have heard it this meaningfully.”
Last year also saw Suede follow up their 2022 full-length, Autofiction, which debuted at number two in the UK Album Chart, with their latest full-length release, Antidepressants.
Speaking of the record, frontman Brett Anderson revealed at the time, “It is genuinely exciting being in this band. It feels like we’re still pushing creatively,”
Bassist Matt Osman added topically, “This is a widescreen and ambitious record. It’s a big stage record and it’s taking it up a gear.”
In that vein, the band toured earlier this year and will face some of their biggest stages to date on the collaborative performances coming this autumn and winter.
