Sturgill Simpson – Turtles All the Way Down

To coincide with the news of some new UK dates, today’s Track of the Day is ‘Turtles All the Way Down’ by Srugill Simpson.

He’s been dubbed as country music’s best kept secret and it’s easy to why. In true country fashion, ’Turtles All the Way Down’ gives the nod to gospel in a very Jonhny Cash-esque fashion, as Simpson talks of seeing Jesus in flames, in the opening line.

Supposedly about metaphysics, Simpson ponders our understanding of the world it’s deeply reflective and highly infectious.

And it’s good news for fans of Americana, Srugill Simpson has announced a string of UK shows, but don’t hang about, they start this week.
