Steve Albini is known for being a legendary musician and producer who was at the helm for Nirvana classic In Utero as well as working with the likes of The Breeders, PJ Harvey and more recently with both Ty Segall and The Cribs last year. However, the man behind some of your favourite records also has a passion for poker and it turns out he is really good at it as his result at the World Series of Poker last night shows.
The 55 year-old earned a World Series of Poker gold bracelet after competing in the Seven Card Stud event over 310 other players. The former Big Black man took home an incredible $105,629 last night in Las Vegas. Not a bad night’s work.
Check out this tweet from the official World Series of Poker account for proof that this actually happened.

“I am ecstatic that a player as mediocre as me can outlast all of these better players and end up with a bracelet,” he said following the huge win, before adding: “There’s still hope for everybody!”
As you can see in the image, Albini was proudly wearing a Cocaine Piss tee who he worked with on their 2012 release The Dancer – as he celebrated his victorious night.
