The new adaptation of Stephen King’s novel The Outsider has got it’s first teaser trailer as HBO gear up for another spooky spin with Mr King. With an all-star cast, this production looks set to trun heads.

With stars including Cynthia Erivo, Ben Mendelsohn, and Jason Bateman, the drama is based on King’s recent 2018 novel. With the new production looking to add a little Noir to the proceedings by following politics and murder as they intertwine throughout this detective story.

Ben Mendelsohn will play the role of Ralph Anderson, a rough and ready detective who discovers the corpse of an 11-year-old boy in a small southern town in Georgia. The leads are all being tied to one Terry Maitland, played by Bateman, a teacher who despite his alibi is looking good for it.

Det. Anderson, finding himself stumped by the scholar’s excuses, drafts in private detective Holly Gibney played by Erivo. You can watch the full trailer below and get excited for the upcoming production.

In recent news, Stephen King’s mansion is being converted into a museum and writer’s retreat in a bid to celebrate the writer’s work and inspire the next generation.

The house, located in Bangor, Maine, will be transformed into a non-profit project after a request submitted by King and his wife Tabitha was unanimously approved by the Bangor City Council.

“The King Family has been wonderful to the City of Bangor over time and have donated literally millions of dollars to various causes in the community,” councillor Ben Sprague told Rolling Stone after the decision was made. “Preserving his legacy here in Bangor is important for this community.”
