It appears much of the art world is rejoicing at the prospect of the end of Donald Trump’s reign and one such member of that world, the acclaimed novelist Stephen King, has labelled Trump as a “miserable self-entitled fucker” as the President refused to concede the election.
Trump has been declared the loser of the 2020 US presidential election with most of the press outlets and officials awarding the election to Joe Biden. The announcement has seen countless celebrities and artists take to their social media platforms to celebrate the win for the Democrats and sent Trump to the courtroom trying to declare the election a “fraud”.
Trump issued a statement about the loss: “We all know why Joe Biden is rushing to falsely pose as the winner and why his media allies are trying so hard to help him: they don’t want the truth to be exposed,” the statement read. “The simple fact is this election is far from over.”
A new announcement was made today with the Trump campaign saying they were “start prosecuting our case in court to ensure election laws are fully upheld and the rightful winner is seated”. It’s a statement that hasn’t gone unnoticed by horror writer King.
The acclaimed writer of The Shining, Pet Sematary and countless others wasn’t shy when he tweeted: “You lost, you miserable self-entitled infantile fucker,” he wrote. “Concede and get the hell out.” The day prior, King had celebrated the Biden win by tweeting: “Sometimes… the good guys win.”
While it’s not likely that Trump will listen to King’s suggestion, we can be safe in the knowledge that King sees Trump as a truly horrific president.
