‘South Park’ continues tirade against Donald Trump in new episode
South Park has released a new trailer for the third episode of the new season, which has lashed out against Donald Trump’s administration.
The new episode, called ‘Sickofancy’, features an old character, Towelie, heading to Washington, DC. In the trailer, he reacts to the soldiers and tanks stationed outside of the White House, smiling, “Wow! This seems like a perfect place for a towel.”
This episode will therefore tackle Trump’s latest decision to deploy federal law enforcement and immigration agents outside of the building as part of his crackdown on homelessness, free movement, and crime.
The two previous episodes have dealt with similar issues; the first depicted Trump in bed with Satan, and touched on the Epstein List, his problem with wokeness, and his alleged firing of Stephen Colbert. The second also took aim at the United States Secretary of Homeland Security, Kristi Noem.
Alongside the new clip, Comedy Central announced there will now be two weeks in between upcoming episodes, rather than one. So far this season, the co-creators have already skipped a week, though they put that down to a celebration of the show’s anniversary.
The White House was not best pleased after the first episode aired to a record number of viewers. White House spokesperson Taylor Rogers released a statement that read in part, “The Left’s hypocrisy truly has no end – for years they have come after South Park for what they labelled as ‘offence’ content, but suddenly they are praising the show.”.
Rogers added: “Just like the creators of South Park, the Left has no authentic or original content, which is why their popularity continues to hit record lows. This show hasn’t been relevant for over 20 years and is hanging on by a thread with uninspired ideas in a desperate attempt for attention.”
No official synopsis for the third episode exists. Instead, South Park Studios added simply, “South Park’s 27th season continues this Wednesday, August 20 at 10/9c on Comedy Central and next day on Paramount+.”
