Ex-Smashing Pumpkins bassist D’Arcy Wretzky has a new band

It was announced on social media, through some fanboy tweets and posts from the band, that former Smashing Pumpkins bassist D’Arcy Wretzky that it appears that has joined the “stoner metal band” Grave Next Door.

The series of posts look to announce D’Arcy as a new member of the band, though this has not been confirmed by D’Arcy or the Michigan based band. If she were to join the group this would be the first band Wretzky has joined since she split with Billy Corgan and the Smashing Pumpkins back in 1999.

Smashing Pumpkins’ James Iha Defends Billy Corgan Over D’Arcy Wretzky Feud

Posting a photo on Twitter with a set piece from the Smashing Pumpkins’ ‘Tonight, Tonight’ video the band said: “My brother /guitarist Anthony Salerno at D’arcy’s with a set piece from smashing pumpkins tonight Tonight video. Getting ready to set up and practice wish D’arcy.”

The following day the band again posted saying “Great practice yesterday with former Smashing Pumpkins bassist D’arcy Wretzky as we prepare to go into the studio in May. She’s an amazing musician!”

I think we can all safely assume that D’Arcy Wretzky is on to something different.
