Sleaford Mods give first taste of ‘Invisible Britain’

Sleaford Mods are a band not only of decent tunes and an aggression which riles our blood in the best of ways, but also a band with vision.

That’s not us being dead arty, the vision we are speaking of is not of a utopian grandeur, drenched in intellectual gold and pebble dashed with the blood of the rich. No their vision is a crystal clear view of what is around us already.

Invisible Britain is their latest tableaux of this fair isle, a documentary which looks at the decaying nature of our nation and how Sleaford Mods are trying to soundtrack it with every moment they have our attention.

Directed by Nathan Hannawin and Paul Sng takes its lead from one quote “The future is just going to be a vast, conforming suburb of the soul”. Really, that’s all you need to know about how this will play out.

The film is set to screen in Nottingham and London with a Q&A taking place with Jason Williamson on October 10th.

In the meantime, whet your appetite with this or check out more info here.
