Slayer announce first Latin America tour dates in seven years
Slayer are set to bring their Reign in Blood 40th anniversary celebration tour to Latin America, marking their first time in the region since 2019.
The thrash pioneers had already announced a handful of dates in celebration of their 1986 release, which became one of metal’s most defining records with approximately 2.5million copies sold worldwide.
In a new social media post promoting the new shows, the band boasted, “After selling out two nights in Los Angeles, Slayer is taking the Reign in Blood 40th Anniversary south with five headline shows featuring the album performed in full”.
They will kick off their run of live shows on September 4th at Mystic Lake Amphitheater in Minnesota, before moving on to Rocklahoma Festival.
Slayer will then play in Mexico and Texas in October, before moving on to two nights at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles on November 13th and 14th.
From there, a new run of four live shows will see them play Vive Claro in Colombia on December 5th, Estadio Santa Laura in Santiago on December 10th, Movistar Arena in Buenos Aires on December 14th, and Allianz Parque in São Paulo on December 17th.
Across the dates, they will be supported by fellow thrash outfits Kreator, Power Trip, and more.
Famously, Reign In Blood was their first collaboration with coveted record producer Rick Rubin, and continues to provoke and challenge listeners while standing as a key breakthrough project in thrash metal and speed metal.
