Slaves confirm their new album is “done”

Slaves have taken to Instagram to confirm that the recording of their new album in Brussels is “done”.

The Kent duo revealed last month that they were in the process of recording the follow-up to their second studio album Take Control which was produced by Mike D from The Beastie Boys and was released in September 2016.

Taking to their Instagram page yesterday (April 7), Slaves posted a picture of themselves taking a well earned rest outside a studio in the Belgian capital Brussels.

“Album done sun’s out nice one cheers xxxxxxxx” reads the caption, have a look at the picture they shared below.

Earlier in the year Slaves launched their own record label Girl Fight Records and shared ‘Spoons’ an ode to everyone’s favourite pub chain by first signing fellow Kent band Lady Bird.

Laurie Vincent from the band said this about the launch: “It’s not about modelling ourselves against anyone, it’s us putting our mark on the industry. Me and Isaac, I like to think we’re purists. We didn’t form a band to copy anyone else and we’ve never done anything to be like anyone else. This is just something we wanna do and Lady Bird are the first of that.”

Slaves have a busy summer ahead including appearances at Reading & Leeds Festival as well as headlining 53 Degrees North which is an exciting new one-day festival in Hull where they will share the stage alongside The Horrors, Dream Wife, LIFE and label mates Lady Bird.
