Sky Ferreira claims label "forced" her to hand over Soundcloud details and now can't access it

Sky Ferreira has claimed that her record label “forced” her to hand over the login details of her popular Soundcloud account and now can’t access it.

Ferreira, whose only studio album came back in 2013 with Night Time, My Time, has had repeated issues with record labels during her relatively short career and it seems another problem has arisen. The singer, who earned her cult following as an unsigned artist with the help of her Soundcloud account, is desperately fighting to regain control of the account.

Posting on social media, she appealed directly to Soundcloud looking for assistance. She said: “Hey @soundcloud, I can’t access my own account that I started & uploaded everything myself. I ended up bamboozled.”

Explaining a little more, she added: “I was forced/told I had no choice to hand over my account information to my label after my album came out. They gave me the wrong information & changed it so I can no longer access it.

“The person who changed the login is unreachable & the contact no longer exists. I need it back ASAP. I earned the hundreds of thousands of people that follow the account without my label & have never had help/paid for anything on social media or whatever.”
