Sharon Osbourne almost mailed poo to Roger Waters for his comments after Ozzy Osbourne’s death
Sharon Osbourne has revealed she considered sending poo in the post to Roger Waters after he criticised her late husband, Ozzy Osbourne, following his death.
Weeks after the Black Sabbath star’s passing in July, Waters made a series of unfavourable comments about Osbourne.
He said during an interview with The Independent Ink, “Ozzy Osbourne, who just died, bless him in whatever that state that he was in his whole life. We’ll never know. The music, I have no idea. I couldn’t give a fuck.”
The former Pink Floyd musician also said, “I don’t care about Black Sabbath, I never did. I have no interest in biting the heads of chickens or whatever they do. I couldn’t care less, you know.”
In response, Jack Osbourne took to social media to call him “pathetic and out of touch”, as well as revealing, “My father always thought you were a c*nt”.
Then, Sharon described Waters as a “sad, irrelevant, old, miserable human being – a miserable ugly human being” during an episode of The Osbournes Podcast. Additionally, Ozzy Osbourne’s website recently released a limited-edition tee that depicted him urinating on Waters’ album cover.
Now, during a new interview on Piers Morgan Uncensored, Sharon said that Waters is “not legendary”, as well as describing him as “not liked” within the industry and a “has-been”. She elaborated, “He was great, but his greatness didn’t last. He couldn’t do any great music on his own.”
After Morgan called Waters a “very bitter” individual, Sharon said, “He’s crazy though, he’s definitely, definitely not wired right. Five wives later, and (he) hates everybody that’s successful. He’s stomping around in his pathetic homemade Nazi outfit. He’s nuts. I was going to send him one of my Tiffany boxes.”
Osbourne is referring to the infamous tactic she previously used against journalists, which would be to get her then-infant son, Jack, to poo in a box from Tiffany’s jewellers that would then be mailed in the post in revenge for a bad review of an Ozzy concert.
While speaking on Piers Morgan Uncensored, Sharon explained how it began with one journalist who scathingly reviewed Ozzy without attending the show, but it then progressed to “other people I disliked”.
She then explained why she chose against reviving the vengeful tactic for Waters, stating, “But even that is a waste, to send shit to him. It’s a waste because he’s really insignificant, but I just thought, with anybody that passes (who) has a family, you don’t do that.”
Sharon then alleged that the reasoning for Waters’ comments was rooted in antisemitism, claiming, “I thought it was about me, because he hates Jews and I’m half a Jew, so he hates me because my dad was Jewish, well, my mother was a fucking Roman Catholic, who gives a fuck? But, I think it was me.”
Waters has previously strongly denied claims that he is antisemitic and has yet to respond to Sharon’s latest comments.
