Sadie Sink to make London West End debut in ‘Romeo and Juliet’

Actor Sadie Sink is set to make her debut in London’s West End next year appearing in Romeo and Juliet

The news was announced by Deadline, noting that Sink would star opposite Noah Jupe in the leading roles of the Shakespearean tragedy, as part of a reimagined production from director Robert Icke.

The Stranger Things star said (via What’sOnStage) that the opportunity would present an “exciting challenge”, coming off the back of her role in the Broadway play John Proctor is the Villain earlier this year.

Romeo and Juliet is set to run at the Harold Pinter Theatre for 12 weeks only between March and June next year.

Sink’s casting comes as she was seen in London only this week, after New Zealand singer Lorde brought her out as a surprise guest to perform ‘Green Light’ during her concert at the O2 Arena, as part of her current UK leg of her highly anticipated Ultrasound tour.

The song played a pivotal role in the story of the aforementioned play, hence forging a friendship between Lorde and Sink.

The news of the actor’s London stage debut also arrives shortly before she is set to reprise her most famous role as Max Mayfield in the fifth and final series of Stranger Things, the first instalment of which is set to arrive on Netflix from November 26th.

Earlier this summer, Sink was also seen in Glasgow, as her casting in the upcoming Marvel blockbuster Spider-Man: Brand New Day was confirmed, although it is not yet clear what her role will be.

Romeo and Juliet will run performances at the Harold Pinter Theatre in London from March 16th until June 6th, 2026.
